Based on the success of the ST-Z and ST-X models and with Mizuno’s new SAT2041 Beta Ti face and complex carbon fibre construction to give both maximum ball speed and a solid, satisfying feel at impact, the ST-G 220 driver adds a new level of adjustability and allows you to customise the weights in the club head to your own swing to achieve the ball flight you’re looking for. Mizuno’s ST-G 220 driver has a shorter lateral weight track which allows for a centered weight port deep inside the club head. The combination of three weight tracks and two movable weights means that ST-G can be transformed from ultra-low spin to a very playable mid-spin driver; with both fade or draw weighting. The evolution of ST-G 220’s weight placements offer a rare combination of both backspin and fade/draw adjustments. Traditionally, adjustable drivers have been more effective at one or another of these preferences. At every imaginable setting, ST-G 220 delivers massive performance on contact outside the sweet spot, with consistent feedback regardless of the weight position. The driver has a modern look with a deeper face, shorter from front to back, but still a maximum head size of 460 cubic. The newly designed face is made from a multimaterial construction which has been named “Cortech” and has been refined to maximise COR and give high ball speed, especially on contacts low down on the head.
