Description
Ping G425 irons have a more compact head than their predecessors, the G410. The shorter blade length from heel to toe saves weight which has now been placed in the toe and hosel for added stability through the shot. The updated face has VFT technology which is usually found in fairway woods. VFT technology creates varying thicknesses across the face, producing high COR and ball speed. Behind the face is a multi-material plate which reduces vibration and lends satisfying acoustics to your shot. The Hydropearl Chrome finish across the head repels moisture to create a consistent ball flight in any weather.
VFT design, Variable face thickness is often found in fairway woods, and now Ping has brought this to their irons. By having different thicknesses at different points on the face, the COR increases across the whole face for higher ball speed.
Perimeter weighting, A more compact blade length compared to previous models has allowed the weighting in the head to be finely tuned. By moving weight towards the toe and into the hosel, the head remains stable through the contact to deliver consistent results.
Fine-tuned feel, The multi-material plate located behind the face dampens unwanted vibrations at impact and also gives you added feel. It also delivers a satisfying sound. The irons have a water-resistant Hydropearl Chrome finish.
