Garmin Approach S62’s sleek design always looks the part, whether you’re sitting in the clubhouse after finishing a round or you’re out on the town for the evening. With its large 1.3 inch touch screen, it’s easy to read and operate out on the course. Choose a display design that suits you best. With 41,000 preloaded golf courses, you can play all over the world and always know the exact distance to the hole. Approach S62 has now been updated with a virtual caddie that suggests which club you should choose once it has collected your play data. This caddie accounts for wind speed and direction in its calculations, as well as uphill and downhill gradients on the hole in its PlaysLike Distance function. As before, you get the green view, the option to choose the distance to various traps and your own points on the course. The Pinpointer function displays an arrow pointing towards the green while indicating the distance remaining in the unlikely event that you should find yourself off the fairway. The watch also has many smart everyday functions such as smart notifications, Garmin Pay and a pulse monitor making it incredibly versatile. Approach S62 has a water rating of 5 ATM which means you can wear it while swimming. Battery life has been improved, allowing the watch to operate for up to 20 hours in GPS mode and for 14 days in regular watch mode. QuickFit makes it easy to replace the watch strap. S62 is compatible with the club tracking sensors Approach CT10 (three sensors included), which facilitate even more precise registration and more functions, such as automatic club registration and scoring.
Virtual Caddie, Helps you choose your club before taking your shot. Once data has been collected about your game and distances for each club have been stored, you can get recommendations for which club to hit. The watch takes into account wind speed, wind direction, height differences and calculates the correct distance that must be hit. You then get a recommendation on which club would work best to get you as close to the pin as possible.
PinPointer and course view, Ensures you always know how far it is to the pin and to different positions on the hole. The PinPointer shows the direction to the green along with the distance should you unexpectedly find yourself off the fairway. You also get an overall course view and green view which allows you to choose the distance to specific points. You can choose the distance to fixed hazards which are preloaded, or choose your own specific point using the touch screen. The green view feature lets you choose the distance to the pin’s position for greater accuracy in your approach shots.
Smart functions, Makes Approach S62 more than just a normal golf watch. With detailed statistics that can be connected to Garmin’s golf app you get an overview of your whole game. Smart notifications let you easily see messages without taking out your phone. Garmin Pay lets you connect your bank card and make payments directly with your watch to avoid using cash. The watch is now better equipped for other activities with a built-in pulse monitor, blood oxygen levels and step counter.
