The 3-layer material uses the same soft, stretch fabric both inside and out, with a tech membrane bound between the layers. This membrane keeps the rain out but releases your body heat to be wicked away to the surface where it evaporates. There is no lining in these trousers as the inside is so soft, and this gives you a very comfortable feel while you play.
