Super Select Newport is the latest version of Scotty’s classic blade putter with softly rounded bumpers, featuring a new I-beam plumbing neck shaft assembly, Newport’s distinctive rounded shapes and a double-milled face inspired by putters that tour players prefer. This putter is precision milled in the US from 303 stainless steel with a solid face, a matte finish, and adjustable performance sole weights in untreated tungsten. The new, precision-shaped shaft assembly gives the different models a bolder, industrial look and enables removal and focused redistribution of weight from the neck to the putter’s heel and toe. Together with a strategically placed groove on the models with plumbing neck shaft assembly – positioned for precise lie angle adjustment – and Scotty’s hallmarks in the form of larger milled dots in the cavity, additional weight has been accurately redistributed for better performance.
Dubbelfräst träffyta, The Super Select series launches a new double milled face that gives a completely new class of sound, feel and feedback, with a combination of the soft feel that was so appreciated in previous deep-milled putters with the feedback, consistent results and lovely roll that Scotty's later mid-milled putters have offered. After a deep milling pass over the face, a second pass evens out the tops of the face, producing a flatter and more consistent surface for the ball's contact with the face. This new double-milled face keeps up with Scotty Cameron's tour prototypes, giving the Super Select series a tour-inspired look and feel as well as the most consistent face yet.
Performance Weighting, All new Super Select putters feature performance weighting with customisable sole weights milled in the US either in 303 stainless steel or heavier tungsten for Newport and Newport 2. Together with specially designed aluminium sole plates on all Plus, mid-mallet and GOLO models, Scotty’s performance weighting concept gives optimal weight distribution and higher MOI so that each individual putter gets optimal balance and performance regardless of shaft length.
