The Jailbird Mini 1/2 Ball retains the popular Jailbird shape’s stable mallet profile, but is complemented here by an alignment solution that makes it easier to align both the blade and ball. The ½ Ball design creates a natural reference point at address and helps you hit the ball more consistently. The putter is equipped with Odyssey’s most advanced Ai-Dual insert – a dual-layer urethane insert developed using artificial intelligence. The softer outer layer and the firmer inner produce consistent ball speed across the entire face and a responsive but controlled feel. The result is more predictable distance control, even on contacts outside the sweet spot. The updated FRD (Forward Roll Design) groove is both deeper and more aggressive. With a 19° slope, the grooves work together with the insert’s construction to provide a more stable forward role from the ball start, reducing jumps and sideways movements. The model comes with a lightweight steel shaft with a 20-30 gram counterweight at the grip end. It contributes to a balanced total weight and makes it easier to repeat a smooth, consistent stroke – something that complements the Jailbird design’s strengths very well.
