OZ.1i Sweeper is L.A.B. Golf’s most advanced putter for sweepers – golfers with a more upright putting style. The model is developed in collaboration with Adam Scott and is based on the same half-moon style, solid-body design as the usual OZ.1i, but with specific adaptation for a more vertical setup.
Like all L.A.B. putters, the OZ.1i Sweeper is 100% Lie Angle Balanced, which means the blade naturally stays square throughout the movement – even with the upright lie angle that characterises sweepers. Each putter is also hand balanced and drilled individually to match its specific length and lie angle. The result is a putter that rests flat on the ground and addresses the ball square. The putter has a 0.5 degree lean to make it easier to hit the ball.
The Sweeper model is equipped with a stainless steel face, which gives a firmer feel and faster ball speeds – perfect for players who want clear feedback and a consistent roll. The elegant club head is milled from a single piece of aluminium and lacks visible cut-outs or “teeth”, which provides a clean and compact look at address.
OZ.1i Sweeper is an excellent choice for players who prefer an upright setup, increased ball speed and a putter that is stable.
Select insert on face, The Oz.1i insert is made of stainless steel, which gives higher ball speed from the blade and a more solid feel. This can help you with distance control if you have a tendency to leave putts short in their line. If you prefer a softer feel and the experience of being able to really hit the ball, you should instead choose the model without insert.
Lie Angle Balanced, L.A.B Golf stands for “Lie Angle Balanced”, and this is where the Zero Torque concept originated. The idea behind L.A.B was to create a putter that stays square throughout your putting stroke. The centre of gravity of the putter is balanced in a way that puts it precisely in the middle of the head, no matter how you hold it.
Hand-built and balanced, All L.A.B Golf models are hand-built with the highest precision in their own factories. Each putter passes between 5 and 10 people before being delivered to the customer. They are well known for their careful quality control, both in terms of balance and cosmetics on all models.
