Description
Garmin G80 Approach has a 3.5 inch colour touch screen which can be read in sunlight, and a battery with up to 15 hours’ life in GPS mode. The built-in meter reads shot distances when playing at any of the many preloaded golf courses from around the world. There are four practice and game settings, which are designed to improve your game and be rewarding to use.
Use the device at the driving range, use the warm-up mode to analyse swing data, tempos to optimise timing in your swing and target practice to become more consistent and accurate. You can also play virtual rounds on one of the preloaded courses with colour CourseView maps. Compete against a friend, play in a tournament with other users around the world or try to beat your personal best.
Use it around corners, on the course, the radar technology is activated at the push of a button. Distances to the fairway, penalty areas, landing areas or front, middle or back of the green can be found using the touch function. Just tap your chosen position which can be read in sunlight to get the distance to that exact spot. Other features include a digital scorecard, PlaysLike distance which shows the distance to the target, adjusted for uphill or downhill shots, PinPointer which shows the green’s position on blind shots and Greenview which zooms in to show a more precise distance to the pin.
Compatible with the Garmin Golf app, Approach G80 is compatible with the free Garmin Golf app which allows players to publish their results and compare data, ranking and statistics as well as competing and making contact with other golfers.
