Callaway CB Wedge is designed to give you confidence and forgiveness in your short game, thanks to a player-friendly shape and design. With the hollow design, you get a more forgiving shape at address, which promotes playability no matter what type of wedge shots you hit. The larger head and strategically placed grooves across the entire face give added confidence at address. This wedge also takes the feel to a new level through cutting-edge construction. It is the first Callaway wedge equipped with urethane microspheres. These microspheres are placed behind the impact area on the face to improve the feel and sound at impact, resulting in a lovely feel in a cavity back wedge. When it comes to spin and control, Callaway CB is a good choice with its Jaws grooves. These grooves have also been treated with a special surface spray to increase friction on the face. This allows you to generate spin from every impact point on short shots around the green. Note that models with a loft angle of 54°-60° come with full face grooves, while the lower lofted variants have traditional grooves.
Cavity Back, CB stands for Cavity Back and this means that this model has been made with a cavity in the club head. This makes it more forgiving on contacts outside the sweet spot. Unlike more blade-like wedges, Callaway CB comes in a large enough size to give you increased confidence and forgiveness and is a good choice for players who want to make their short game a little easier.
