Description
The DF3 model builds on L.A.B. Golf’s unique Lie Angle Balance technology, which makes the putter naturally want to stay square throughout the putting stroke. Just like its predecessor, DF 2.1, DF3 is extremely forgiving on hits outside the sweet spot, but has a slightly increased ball speed for improved distance control – even with longer putts. The clubhead is made of 6061 aluminium and has a built-in shaft slope that helps you get more upward contact on the ball. It provides a faster and more consistent forward roll for smoother results. With the proprietary Press grip, you can hold the putter as usual, without having to tilt your hands forward at address. The design has been fine-tuned to appeal to a wider range of golfers and is significantly sleeker than the DF2.1 model at address. The sound at impact gives clear feedback and enhances the feel. The characteristic cut-out in the middle – now nicknamed ‘The Gimme Getter’ – also makes it easy to pick up the ball without bending down. DF3 delivers tour-like performance and helps you keep both the line and the pace throughout the putt. It’s perfect for those who liked DF 2.1, but want a smaller, more modern option without compromising on technology. The putter is played with an effective loft of 3° and comes in standard version with a 69° lie angle.
Shaft lean, By having an already built-in shaft lean in the putter, it is easier to hit the ball. When you hit the ball during putting, the ball starts rolling forward earlier, leading to more consistent distance control out on the greens.
Press grip, The L.A.B Golf patented Press Grip is available in different versions, with 1.5, 2 and 3 degree built-in lean. This is to create a natural setup when using a putter with shaft lean. This way, you can address the ball in a natural way, despite the built-in shaft lean.
Lie Angle Balanced, L.A.B Golf stands for “Lie Angle Balanced”, and this is where the Zero Torque concept originated. The idea behind L.A.B was to create a putter that stays square throughout your putting stroke. The centre of gravity of the putter is balanced in a way that puts it precisely in the middle of the head, no matter how you hold it.
Hand-built and balanced, All L.A.B Golf models are hand-built with the highest precision in their own factories. Each putter passes between 5 and 10 people before being delivered to the customer.
