At the heart of the Pro S-1 is Mizuno’s unique Grain Flow Forged HD process, executed with the utmost accuracy at the Hiroshima factory. Each club head is forged from a single piece of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, providing the classically soft and responsive feel Mizuno is world famous for. The refined grain structure creates a smoother feel, increased feedback and consistent performance throughout the set. A thin layer of copper under the chrome plating adds an extra dimension to the feel at impact. This subtle element dampens vibrations and provides a softer, more nuanced response – without compromising the crisp feedback. Together with the advanced forging technology, this creates what Mizuno describes as the ultimate sensory connection between golfer and club. Mizuno’s proprietary Harmonic Impact Technology works together with the innovative design to fine tune the vibrations at impact. The result is a slightly firmer but still incredibly solid feel, with both sound and feedback that inspires confidence in every shot.
Channel Back Design, Provides a more consistent placement of the centre of gravity (CG), an even more solid feel and greater vertical stability. The innovative design subtly redistributes the mass behind the face to achieve a more stable vertical centre of gravity, producing consistent results. At the same time, it gives a firmer, tour-preferred feel that improves response without compromising on the pure feel at impact.
Tour-Tested and Confirmed Sole, The S-1 sole has been carefully refined with input from tour players and has a flatter profile, a sharper leading edge and higher bounce angle. This design ensures smoother interaction with the grass and minimises the risk of the club digging in, allowing players to maintain aggressive angles of attack with confidence.
Soft White Satin Finish, The iron features a sophisticated Nickel Chrome Soft White Satin finish that delivers a premium tour-inspired look.
