LST stands for Low Spin Technology and is the model in Ping’s G440 range that caters to golfers with a high swing speed who want to maximise distance from the tee combined with a lower launch angle. An HST (High-Strength Titanium) face combines with a lightweight Ti811 body, an 85 g tungsten sole plate and a CarbonFly Wrap crown to optimise weight distribution. This places the centre of gravity low and towards the back, which produces higher ball speed and reduced spin for longer shots.

The Ping G440 family of fairway woods (Max, LST, SFT) builds on Ping’s reputation as a Tour-preferred choice, thanks to a redesigned face and a low CG system. The higher impact surface gives increased confidence off the tee, while maintaining a centre of gravity that also delivers high launch off the ground. The face thickness is optimised in the heel and toe areas to ensure consistent performance, even on hits outside the sweet spot. Each model is designed to suit specific player types, with main profiles optimised to match different swing needs and provide the right launch conditions. The MAX model, which suits most golfers, is available in five different loft options (including a new 4-wood) to provide more solutions for gapping between clubs. The multi-material LST (Low Spin) model appeals to players with higher swing speeds and offers a combination of high launch and less spin. For golfers who need help with slice correction, the SFT (Straight Flight) model is the perfect choice, with a CG position that’s designed to promote draw. The refined rear weight profile lets the club sit better on the ground and the face angle remains consistent regardless of loft or lie setting. This allows golfers to take full advantage of the many customisation options offered via the adjustable hosel. CarbonFly Wrap Crown, Common to all three models (Max, LST, SFT) is the CarbonFly Wrap crown, which saves weight. The redistributed weight helps lower the centre of gravity (CG), ensures forgiveness and contributes to a more subdued and satisfying sound at impact.
Free-Hosel Technology, Weight removed from part of the hosel has been redistributed to lower mass and create Ping’s deepest centre of gravity to date. This brings the centre of gravity closer to the power line, giving higher ball speed, optimal spin and higher launch for longer and straighter shots.
