Dormy Open returns for 2026-2028!
A new name and three more years! Dormy Open by Creekhouse secures the HotelPlanner Tour’s (formerly the Challenge Tour) return to Sweden for at least another three years, from 2026 to 2028. An important step in the continued development of Swedish men’s golf.
Dormy Open has been staged on four occasions to date. The tournament joined the Challenge Tour in 2021 and 2022 at Österåker Golf Club before moving to Dormy’s home course, Askersund Golf Club, in 2023. In 2024, it was held as a Ladies European Tour event at Allerum Golf Club.
Following a two-year break, Dormy Open is now set to return for a three-year period from 2026 to 2028 under its new name, Dormy Open by Creekhouse, as part of the HotelPlanner Tour (formerly the Challenge Tour).
“Dormy Open by Creekhouse is an important part of Swedish elite golf and provides a valuable opportunity for players making the transition from amateur to professional golf,” says Marcus Norman, Head of Sport at the Swedish Golf Federation.
The tournament will be played at Kristianstad Golf Club’s East Course in late August 2026, move to Askersund Golf Club in 2027, and return to Kristianstad in 2028.
Dormy Open by Creekhouse is the result of a collaboration between the Swedish Golf Federation as promoter, Dormy and Creekhouse Management as title partners, and Kristianstad Golf Club as the host venue. The ambition is for Dormy Open by Creekhouse to become more than just a golf tournament. While the competition will remain at its heart, a range of additional on- and off-course activities will be introduced to create an even more engaging event.

About the HotelPlanner Tour
The HotelPlanner Tour (formerly the European Challenge Tour) is Europe’s second-tier professional men’s tour. It serves as the pathway to the DP World Tour, with the top 20 players on the HotelPlanner Tour earning promotion each season. Hosting a tournament in Sweden gives the Swedish Golf Federation – and in turn the Swedish Golf Team – tournament invitations that can be exchanged with other nations. This is an important part of providing Sweden’s most promising male golfers with opportunities to progress on the European stage.
