Dormy Open by Creekhouse
Together with the Swedish Golf Federation and the management company Creekhouse, Dormy will organise Dormy Open by Creekhouse in 2026, 2027 and 2028. The tournament will be played at Kristianstad GK in the first and final year, and in 2027 it will be played at Askersunds GK.
“Dormy Open by Creekhouse aligns with many of the things we are most passionate about – actively supporting players in their development and creating opportunities to take the next step in their careers, promoting and strengthening golf as a sport, a meeting place and a business platform, but above all showing what can be achieved when several stakeholders step forward and do something together. This tournament is an important step in the right direction,” says Pelle Krüger, CEO & Managing Partner at Creekhouse Management.
The venue: Kristianstad GK
Kristianstad GK is located in Åhus, Skåne, and features two spectacular courses with heathland and woodland character: the East and West Courses. In 2020, the East Course—the course on which Dormy Open is played—was ranked as Sweden’s third-best course by Svensk Golf.

East Course
Both the natural setting and the layout demand tactical play on the East Course. The terrain alternates between open holes exposed to the Skåne wind, while others wind through older tree plantations. Holes 14, 15 and 16 are often highlighted as particularly challenging, where the combination of bunkers, water hazards and intelligent design makes them technically demanding. As a result, a lot can happen there during the decisive rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Par is normally 72 on the East Course, but it remains to be seen whether it will be adjusted for the long-hitting professionals.
About the HotelPlanner Tour
The HotelPlanner Tour (formerly the European Challenge Tour) is the second-highest professional men’s tour in Europe. The tour serves as a pathway to the DP World Tour, for which the top 20 players from the HotelPlanner Tour qualify each year. Having a tournament on Swedish soil means that the Swedish Golf Federation—and, in turn, the Swedish Golf Team—receive starting places that can be exchanged with other nations. This is an important key to giving promising male players opportunities to progress across Europe.
