Description
The wider sole, longer blade length and thicker topline increase perimeter weighting and lower the centre of gravity. This gives higher MOI, which helps you maintain ball speed even on contacts outside the sweet spot. The result is higher launch, more consistent distance and better control. In the longer irons (5–6), the clubs have an extended length progression of ¾", which makes it easier for you to get the ball up in the air and hit longer shots with confidence.
The wide dual-camber sole places the centre of gravity low and far back, which helps players who tend to hit low on the blade. At the same time, the sole’s design makes the club glide more smoothly through the grass for cleaner contact. A thin, flexible face together with the new three-piece PurFlex badge improves both ball speed and feel, while simultaneously dampening vibrations effectively. The set consists of 5–9, PW, and a 50° U-wedge.
Double Camber, A wide sole with double camber places the centre of gravity low and towards the back, providing greater ball speed and a higher trajectory throughout the G740 set, as well as improving ground contact and interaction with the turf.
PurFlex, A Cavity badge on the back of the club head in the G740 irons dampens vibrations for an improved feel at impact.
