PING iDi Utility is designed for players who want a powerful and customisable option in the long game. With three optimised lofts (2, 3 and 4), each golfer can tailor ball flight, spin and distance as needed. iDi comes in three optimised loft options to suit different needs. The 2nd (17°) provides low ball flight and spin for maximum distance. The 3rd (20°) delivers medium ball flight and spin, perfect as a utility club or as a replacement at the top of the irons. The 4th (23°) provides higher ball flight and more spin for better stops on the green and easier height from the fairway. The 17-4 stainless steel head is both deeper and shallower, leading to a 15% increase in MOI (forgiveness). The forged maraging steel face which is thinner than previous models flexes more to increase ball speed and distance, while the inR-Air technology with an air pocket in the club head gives better sound and softer feel. The i-Beam structure and covered cavity-back design reduce vibrations for better hand feel. A shorter blade length with less offset makes the iDi Utility easier to shape and control. The improved bounce and rounded front edge of the sole ensure optimised ground contact from different positions.
