Square 2 Square Jailbird is based on the well-known Jailbird shape’s stability and clear sightlines, but with a modern centre shaft design where the shaft is placed directly under the centre of gravity of the putter. This means that the putter rests with its toe up and prevents twisting throughout the stroke – a Zero Torque construction that helps you keep the blade square at impact. The putter is equipped with Odyssey’s most advanced Ai-Dual insert. The double-layer urethane insert developed with artificial intelligence combines a soft outer layer with a firmer inner for consistent ball speed across the entire face and a soft but stable feel. The new Forward Roll Design (FRD) groove is deeper and more aggressive, working together with the insert’s layer to create a more efficient forward roll with a 19° slope. It reduces jumps and makes the ball start stable even on off-centre shots. A built-in forward press of 2° correctly positions your hands at set-up and counteracts the blade opening that often occurs with a manual press. The new Reverse Taper grip is adapted to the tilt of the shaft and gives a natural and comfortable setup. The model comes with the SL 120 shaft, a stiffer and heavier shaft developed with feedback from tour players – perfect for putts in this style where stability is crucial.
